Photojournalist
A Photojournalist is someone who takes photos for the media.
Photojournalism is a particular form of journalism ie the collecting, editing, and presenting of news material for publication or broadcast. The photos that are taken are uses so that a story can be told in the news. These can be still shots or they can be comprised of video. There have been lots of famous photographers who have also be journalists.
The general public is increasingly using their mobile phones to take photos and send them to them media this is effectively making many members of the general public in to Photojournalist. This is leading to a boom in real time content and the public are used to viewing low quality but live or close to live content about any breaking news stories. This means less state control of media as there as so many methods of getting information and photos on to the internet.
